Hiding pond liner is one of a pond owner’s greatest challenges
Rock-on-a-Roll is the solution
Rock-on-a-Roll is a flexible material with the look and texture of natural stone. It conforms to any shape, so you can hide pond liner, skimmers, filters, and hoses without piling up boulders.
We developed Rock-on-a-Roll over 30 years ago for use in our own ponds. We wanted an alternative to the harsh, cluttered look of too much stone. The result is a thin, lightweight sheet that mimics natural bedrock and installs directly over liner in place of rock.
Rock-on-a-Roll is now used by pond owners across the country because it is:
Easy to use — Flexible and easy to shape. Easy to cut with a utility knife to fit any contour.
Attractive — Realistic in color and texture that closely match natural stone.
Lightweight — Easy to handle and takes up almost no space inside the pond.
Fish and plant safe — Made from inert materials that won’t affect water quality.
Long-lasting — Resistant to UV, water, and weather for years of reliable use.

Rock-on-a-Roll comes in rolls that are 34 inches wide, with lengths of 8, 16, 24, 32, and 40 feet. It is thin and flexible—similar in thickness to pond liner—but is designed to sit on top of the liner, not replace it. An 8-foot roll weighs about 5 pounds, with longer rolls weighing proportionately more.
It is available in two colors: Cobblestone and Slate Gray.
Cobblestone combines predominantly brown tones with gray and subtle yellow highlights, giving it a natural, versatile look that blends easily with a wide range of stone and landscape settings. It is the standard color and always in stock.
Slate Gray features layered shades of gray with a slight bluish cast, similar to natural slate. It is a special order and may take up to two weeks to ship.
